June Stride Box Review

Posted on

I finally found a subscription service that is perfect for me!

You may remember when I tried Birch Box and didn’t love it. Those products just weren’t for me. I looked into Klutch Club, but never joined, because I just didn’t feel like I would be excited about the contents.

Enter Stride Box.

I want to thank Scoot-a-Doot for introducing me to this fantastic service that is specifically targeted towards runners. As soon as I saw their review on the May box, I knew I had to get in on this.

My June box came in and I couldn’t wait to open it.

Ermahgerd! goodies!

Now, before my non-running friends click off, just keep this info tucked into the back of your brain for any runner you know. It would make a fantastic gift for your favorite runner.

So, what did I get?

Skratch Labs – exercise hydration mix. I haven’t tried this yet (I have yet to try any of the food/drink items) but I did throw it into my bag to use with my water bottle after a run. I know I will use this since hydration is so important during the Texas summer. I like how they say “no artificial anything”.

Pocket Fuel – almond butter with  kick. I threw this into my run bag as well, but I am excited to try it out. If I like the blueberry banana, I think I will love the chocolate espresso.

Electro Delytes energy and electrolyte citrus bar. I am really glad they focused on electrolytes this month. That is an area where I struggle during the summer months. I’m great about drinking water, but that often isn’t enough.

PowerICE  Ice bar with  (you guessed it) electrolytes. I have this in my freezer, waiting for the perfect day. Every time I look at it, I keep thinking it is going to taste like dill pickle. Have you seen those dill pickle popsicles?

Blue Steel Sports anti-chafe cream with tea tree oil. I know, no one really wants to hear about why we have to use these products, but I am happy to tell you that this stuff was great!

Lock Laces  My second favorite item in the entire June box. I have wanted to try these out for so long! I can’t explain how much i hate lacing and unlacing my shoes a billion times a day. And wanna know when it’s the worst? When I put on my shoes and socks and then realize (after a few more sips of coffee) that I have forgotten to put on my compression sleeves. Ugh. I am saving these puppies for when I get my new shoes (sigh, soon?) so that fighting with my laces will be a thing of the past!

And now for my favorite item!

Due North  foot Rubz Massage Ball. Do yourself a favor and get one of these. If you run, or not, it doesn’t matter. Everyone needs one of these. Make sure you grab one for Secret Santa. For birthdays, for anyone! I use this bugger every day.

Now, I am eagerly awaiting my July box.

Do you have a favorite subscription service that you use?  We have Stride Box and Loot Crate.  I have also toyed around with the idea of a Bark Box because I just love getting packages in the mail that much.

  1. I have a little massage ball similar to that one that my sister (the massage therapist) gave me last fall. After our first, very long day at Disneyland on that trip, we all took turns using it on our feet. I woke up the next day totally ready to walk all day. I was impressed!

    • I was truly surprised at how great it worked. I didn’t think it would do anything! Now, if I could get Peanut to stop playing with it and losing it under the couch…
That’s a great idea to take it with you on vacation. I am going to remember that!

  2. Might have to at least look into the pocket fuel. Sounds like I can work that into my paleo running. Hmm. Either way thanks for a great review.

    • I’m glad you enjoyed it! I know I won’t be able to use everything, but the foot massager and the lock laces were worth the monthly subscription price. 🙂

  3. I’m so glad you love the June StrideBox! I was pretty thrilled with it as well 🙂 that massage ball is incredible, isn’t it? I’ve honestly used it daily since it arrived. I also LOVE the powerICE pops too and plan to order more soon! I haven’t tried the anti change cream yet. Is it a win?

And thank you for the shout out! So glad you loved it as well!

    • The anti-chafe cream was really good. The only problem that I had with it, was that it is a cream. I am used to my deodorant type stuff, that you just rub on and go. This was more like a lotion that you had to apply with your hands, wash your hands and then wait for it to dry a little. It did dry well and felt good, but it isn’t as convenient as a swipe and go, know what I mean?
I did like that it had tea tree oil in it which is an anti fungal, so I can only assume it would be great on feet. 🙂
